Easter

I have always enjoyed the Easter season. The kids were all excited for the easter bunny to come but I tried to also relate to them the true reason we celebrate Easter. So on Saturday night I made some Easter Story Cookies with them. They were egg white cookies with nuts, but each one of the ingredients represented part of the Easter story and then we read about it in the scriptures. We placed the cookies in the oven and then took tape and sealed up the oven, just like the garden tomb was sealed. In the morning we open the oven and the cookies were done and then you opened them up they were hollow inside. The kids enjoyed making the cookies but no one wanted to try them because of the nuts in them.
The Easter bunny did come and bring them all way to much candy and a new book. They also got a new Easter outfit. They all looked great in them. Here are the pictures.

For dinner we went and ate at Grandma and Grandpa Erikson's. Grandma put on her annual easter egg hunt and the kid just loved it. Thanks Grandma for the memories.
